Creative Introduces DiVi CAM 428

Creative Technology has introduced the DiVi CAM 428, at a suggested retail price of Rs 12,699 targeted at those who want to own a decent video camera, but are held back by price constraints.

The DiVi CAM 428 is an all-in-one, mini digital camcorder, featuring key functions such as video recording, voice recording, digital camera and MP3 player. It has a smooth matte finishing, an ergonomic design and is available in two colors - Striking Silver and Intense Black.

The DiVi CAM 428's main feature is its ability to record MPEG-4 movies in 640 x 480 (VGA) resolutions, at 30 fps (frames per second) speed and the recorded format can be selected in either AVI or ASF. The video camera also features a 4.0 Megapixel CCD (Charged Coupled Device) sensor, which makes for sharp images with vibrant colors even in dimly-lit conditions. The DiVi CAM 428 incorporates features such as integrated 32 MB memory expandable up to 1 GB, built-in voice recording, MP3 player, and 2 inch LTPS (Low Temperature Poly Silicon) LCD screen which can be rotated up to 270 degrees.

Other features include an auto-focus lens, 4X digital zoom, 5 flash modes (Auto, Off, Red-Eye Reduction, Force and Slow-sync), night mode for long exposure shots, macro mode for taking images at distances of 16 centimeters or less, and hi-speed USB 2.0 connectivity. The DiVi CAM 428 comes with a high capacity (1000mAh) Lithium-ion re-chargeable battery plus charging cradle.

DiVi CAM 428 comes with 2 bundled software; Presto! Mr Photo 3 and Presto! VideoWorks 6. While Presto! Mr. Photo 3 is a program for creating, sharing, and managing digital images plus videos; Presto! VideoWorks 6 is for editing purposes.
